It may seem a little weird, going to the store, changing into your swimsuit, and going for a nice relaxing hot tub on the showroom floor. We can assure you this is one of the best ways to test out a tub and be sure this is the right purchase for you! Although this concept seems bizarre, this is how we make a lot of purchases. You wouldn’t buy a car without driving it, so why do the same with one of our tubs?
What is a wet test?
So you have narrowed down your options to your few favourite tubs, but you just can’t make your final decision. The best solution is to make sure you book a wet test! A wet test is exactly what it sounds like, you can test a fully functioning tub before you purchase it! By soaking in the tub for at least 15 minutes you will be able to have a much better understanding of the many features that our tubs offer. If this concept is still peculiar to you, there are many accommodations we can make to ensure this is the best experience possible! By participating in a wet test you can get a real feel for the many features that you can’t see, such as the jet power and the seat depth. We are extremely fortunate that we can still offer wet tests as the CDC reports that there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be transmitted in properly maintained tubs. You can view the full statement here.
What are you testing?
You booked the appointment for a wet test, now what? Be sure you come prepared by understanding your priorities when finding the perfect tub. We encourage you to enjoy relaxing in our tubs but, you should be learning a lot more through this experience as well. Here is a list of some of the key questions you should be asking yourself during your wet test,
- How powerful are the jets?
- Are the jets placed where you need them? Are they massaging your major muscle groups?
- Are the jets easy to adjust?
- Can you reach the controls easily?
- Do the seats fit your body comfortably?
- How does the seating depth feel?
- How are the seats placed throughout the tub?
- Will this tub fit everyone it needs to?
By coming prepared with all of these questions in mind you can ensure the wet test will be especially helpful when making your big decision. You are ultimately testing the hot tub for its function, not just the appearance (although we believe that is important too). Come in for your wet test with an open mind and lots of questions. This will ensure you end up with the perfect hot tub to suit all you and your family’s needs! Feel free to book an appointment with our team to experience your ‘hot tub test drive’ as soon as possible.
